Episode 012: Brooke Miller and Unexpected Turns with an Open Heart Surgery
Life takes unexpected turns and twists. For Brooke she thought she would be working with the special needs community in education, or therapy until an unexpected health turn. That launched a career and stirred a passion for reimagining how people view and treat food and their bodies.
With another unexpected turn, Brooke now finds herself back in the special needs community now as a loving mother to Asher. She immediately was relieved and excited that her prenatal diagnosis was Down syndrome - but she's the first to admit that is rare. If you face this news, Brook encourages you to take the time to be sad, but know you have so much to look forward to and be grateful for!
Brooke knew Asher would probably need a heart surgery, and she did her best to prepare... but how do you plan for the unexpected? Listen in as Brooke shares her story with authenticity and a smile!
